Established in 1996, Deep Ecology is a full-service, five-star PADI Dive Center located on Oahu's famous North Shore in historic Haleiwa. Our history includes ghost net recoveries and over 50 endangered Green Sea Turtle rescues, resulting in the creation of the North Shore's first marine sanctuary. Our Mission: To provide superior service and customer satisfaction.  To protect and defend the marine environment we operate within.
Our commitment is to provide our divers with top notch dive sites according to the best conditions. Our custom built dive boat carries six divers in comfort and is propane fuelled to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40-50%.
Whether you are just starting out or acquiring new training, our instructors will guide you in a unique and special experience. From the first cautious breath during a Discover Scuba Dive or the exploration of a shipwreck during Advanced and Specialty training, we aim to provide the best training possible so you will keep diving, learning and exploring.

Protecting the marine environment has been a passion and focus for us at Deep Ecology. Through our initiatives, and with the cooperation of the North Shore community, a marine sanctuary was created at Sharks Cove to protect all sea life. We have rescued over fifty Green Sea Turtles, trapped by fishing line or debris. When we see an injured or trapped turtle we act to help that creature. We work actively to protect marine life from entrapment in abandoned fishing nets, and to clear the ocean of other debris. Through dives and regular beach clean ups, we have collected over 5 tons of debris. Whenever we are in the position to reduce human impact on marine life we will, so long as it does not compromise our divers' safety. Our record is impeccable.

Our professional instructors can introduce you to the underwater world today. We conduct No Experience Dives at some of the same sites we take experienced certified divers, including the North Shore Marine Sanctuary. See our No Experience Dives page for more info.
